Nevertheless Saul spoke not any thing that day, for he thought, “Something hath befallen him. He is not clean, surely he is not clean.”

Yet Saul did not say anything that day, for he thought, “It is an incident [of some kind] and he is not [ceremonially] clean—surely he is unclean.”
Yet Saul said nothing that day, for he thought, Something has befallen him and he is not clean—surely he is not clean.
Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean.
Saul did not say anything that day because he thought, “Something unexpected has happened; he must be ceremonially unclean—yes, that’s it, he is unclean.”
Saul did not say anything that day because he thought, ‘Something unexpected has happened; he must be ceremonially unclean – yes, that’s it, he is unclean.’
Saul didn’t say anything that day because he thought, Perhaps David became unclean somehow. That must be it.
However, Sha’ul didn’t say anything that day; because he thought, “Something has happened to him, he is unclean. Yes, that’s it, he isn’t clean.”
Saul didn't say anything that day, because he was thinking, “Something must have happened to make David unfit to be at the Festival. Yes, something must have happened.”
And Saul said nothing that day; for he thought, Something has befallen [him], that he is not clean: surely he is not clean.
And Saul said nothing that day, for he thought it might have happened to him, that he was not clean, nor purified.
That day Saul said nothing. He thought, “Maybe something happened to David so that he is not clean.”
Saul did not say anything about it that day. He thought, ‘Perhaps something has happened to David that has made him unclean. I am sure that is why he is not here.’
Nevertheless, Saul did not say anything that day, since he thought, “Something has happened to him to make him ceremonially unclean. That’s what it is—he must be unclean.”
Yet Saul did not say anything that day, for he thought, “Something has happened to him. He is not clean; surely he is not clean.”

That day Saul said nothing. He thought, “Maybe something has happened to David so that he is unclean. [L Yes, surely he is unclean; C ritually unclean so he could not participate in a religious ceremony; Lev. 11–15]
And Saul said nothing that day: for he thought, Something hath befallen him, though he were clean, or else because he was not purified.
Saul didn’t say anything that day, thinking, “Something has happened to him so that he’s unclean. He must be unclean.”
but Saul said nothing that day, because he thought, “Something has happened to him, and he is not ritually pure.”
Saul did not say anything that day because he thought, “Something unexpected has happened; he must be ceremonially unclean—yes, that’s it, he is unclean.”
That day Saul said nothing. He thought, “Maybe something has happened to David so that he is unclean.”
Saul didn’t say anything that day because he told himself, “Something has happened; he’s unclean; surely he’s not clean.”
Nevertheless, Saul said nothing that day, for he thought, Something has befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean.

But Saul said nothing on that day, for he thought, “Something happened to him. He is not ceremonially clean; surely he is not clean.”
Saul didn’t say anything about it that day, for he supposed that something had happened so that David was ceremonially impure. Yes, surely that must be it!
David hid in the field. On the holiday of the New Moon, the king came to the table to eat. He sat where he always sat, the place against the wall, with Jonathan across the table and Abner at Saul’s side. But David’s seat was empty. Saul didn’t mention it at the time, thinking, “Something’s happened that’s made him unclean. That’s it—he’s probably unclean for the holy meal.”
Nevertheless Saul did not say anything that day. For he thought, “Something has happened. He is not clean; surely he is not clean.”
Saul didn’t say anything that day, thinking, “Something has happened to him so that he’s unclean. He must be unclean.”
Saul, however, said nothing that day, for he thought, “He must have become unclean by accident.”
Nevertheless Saul did not say anything that day, because he thought, “It must have been an accident; he is not clean, undoubtedly he is not clean.”
Nevertheless Saul did not speak anything that day, for he thought, “It is an accident, he is not clean, surely he is not clean.”
Saul did not say anything that day, because he thought, “Something must have happened to him so that he is impure, surely he is unclean.”
That day Saul said nothing. He thought, “Maybe something has happened to David so that he is unclean.”
However, Saul said nothing about it that day, for he thought, “Something has happened to make him ceremonially unclean. Yes, he must be unclean.”
Saul didn’t say anything that day. He said to himself, “Something must have happened to David to make him ‘unclean.’ That must be why he isn’t here.”
Saul said nothing that day, for he thought, “Something must have happened to David to make him ceremonially unclean—surely he is unclean.”
Saul said nothing that day, for he thought, ‘Something must have happened to David to make him ceremonially unclean – surely he is unclean.’
Nevertheless Saul did not say anything that day, for he thought, “Something has happened to him; he is unclean, surely he is unclean.”
But Saul did not say anything that day. For he thought, “Something has happened to him. He is not clean. For sure he is not clean.”
Saul didn’t say anything about it that day, for he said to himself, “Something must have made David ceremonially unclean.”
Saul did not say anything that day; for he thought, ‘Something has befallen him; he is not clean, surely he is not clean.’
Saul did not say anything that day; for he thought, ‘Something has befallen him; he is not clean, surely he is not clean.’
Saul did not say anything that day; for he thought, “Something has befallen him; he is not clean, surely he is not clean.”

Yet Saul did not say anything that day; for he thought, “Something has befallen him; he is not clean, surely he is not clean.”
Yet Saul did not say anything that day; for he thought, “Something has befallen him; he is not clean, surely he is not clean.”
Nevertheless, Saul said nothing that day, for he thought, “It must be an accident; he must be ceremonially unclean—yes, that’s it, he’s unclean.”
That first night, Saul said nothing. He thought that perhaps David had somehow become ritually unclean, and he could not attend a sacred feast.
Nevertheless Saul didn’t say anything that day, for he thought, “Something has happened to him. He is not clean. Surely he is not clean.”
And Saul spake not anything in that day; for he thought, that in hap it befelled to him, that he was not clean, neither purified. (And Saul did not say anything about David that day; for he thought perhaps it befell that David was not clean, or purified.)
And Saul hath not spoken anything on that day, for he said, `It [is] an accident; he is not clean -- surely not clean.'
